Can pray for us:

Lord Jesus, thank you for your church, the fellowship of the redeemed, the family of God,

the called out ones. Keep us from the sin of indifference, the kind of lukewarmness that

prevents your people from being neither cold nor hot. Your Word declares that that you

judge a church that is lukewarm. Send revival to your Church, Lord, so that we are ablaze

with your love and glory.

Pour out your abundant grace upon the Church, that your people will repent, turn to you,

seek your face and respond you your call.

Comfort the hearts of your people. Knit us together in love, and unto all riches of the full

assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of you,

Father, and of Christ in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Help us as your people, to see ourselves as you intended us to be - the light of the world -

and to remember that a city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Help your Church become

that city, Lord; the city of God to which people will come and be redeemed. Let multitudes

come and be saved.

Help me to remember that the key to revival is found in prayer. I will put on the whole

armor of God and will pray always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit and watch

with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. Though I walk in the midst of trouble,

you will revive me. You will stretch forth your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and

your right hand will save me. You will perfect that which concerns me. Your mercy, O Lord,

endures forever. Forsake not the work of your hands. Let your revival begin in me.

You dwell in the high and holy place, with all who are of humble and contrite spirit, and you

revive the spirit of the humble. You revive the hearts of all who are contrite. Help me to

be broken, humble and contrite before you and others, Lord. You have promised to being

revival to all who humble themselves and see your face through prayer. Give me, and all

your people a renewed spirit of prayer and humility.

Lord Jesus, grant that your Church would be rooted and grounded in you. Establish us in

faith as we have been taught. Let us abound in thanksgiving.

Thank you for the wonderful promise of your Word that they who wait upon you shall

renew their strength. We will mount up with wings as eagles. We will run and not be

weary. We will walk and not faint because you are giving revival to us.

O Lord, revive your work in the midst of the years. Make your will known to to your

Church. Send revival to your people till the glory of the Lord shall cover the earth as

the waters of the seas.

Amen.

I was a member when your church was called Village Church, from 1964-74.  It was first on mission blvd before we moved up into the quarry.  I remember well Rev. Taylor, Rev. Gunther and the youth pastor Clyde Howe.  I lived in the big Spanish Stucco house on corner of delmar & Central.  Such fond memories.
